BHILWARA (Rajasthan), Saturday, 5th November 2022: In the first ever West Zone Junior (U18) Championship held last month, hosts Rajasthan Boys and Chhattisgarh girls emerged as champions.

The tournament was organized by the Bhilwara District Basketball Association under the aegis of Rajasthan Basketball Association, at the B S Ranawat Stadium, Bhilwara, between 13th to 16th October 2022.

The Championship was held in a round robin league format, with each team competing once against every other side.

Undoubtedly buoyed by playing at home, Rajasthan boys went undefeated 5-0, including an exciting two-point 78-76 victory over second placed Madhya Pradesh on the final day.

Top three teams qualify to the 72nd Junior National Basketball Championship

Overall, the top three teams in both sections will now compete in the 72nd Junior National Basketball Championship that is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from 21st to 28th December.
