Hyderabad, 17th December 2018: The Annual Hyderabad Basketball League conducted by Trinity Basketball Promotions under the auspices of the Hyderabad District Basketball Association witnessed day 39 and 40 action.

The two month long league, which tipped off on 22nd October will conclude on 22nd December.

YMCA Secunderabad secured a thrilling 62-59 win over Loyola Academy to top Pool C and gain direct entry to the quarterfinals. Loyola meanwhile will progress to the pre-quarterfinals as the second placed team in the Pool.

In Pool B, Income Tax beat City College Old Boys (CCOB) to top the pool and progress to the QFs. Later on, City College Old Boys came back strongly to beat Victory Playgrounds (VPG) 70-69. The win created a triple tie between CCOB, VPG and Eagles. But due to its inferior point difference, CCOB were eliminated at the hands of Eagles and VPG, which went through to the pre-quarterfinals.

4. Income Tax 82 (Shiv Kumar – 25; Sri Ganesh – 17; Muthu – 16) beat City College Old Boys 59 (Saleem – 15; Nagaraj – 11) Half Time: 36 – 29.

5. Airborne 61 (Sugun – 21; Tony – 14; Zack – 14) beat Wolf Pack 48 (Loka – 21; Harsha – 8: Arvind – 7) Half Time: 28 – 28.

6. National Police Academy Grounds given Walk Over as Artillery Centre did not report for the match.
